Doing Secondary research for a current project which involves making a poster, I looked for a variety of artists to take inspiration from, My first artist is Saul Bass.
The kind of techniques used by Saul are collage’s and simplistic nature with creative typography. The parts that i like about Saul’s posters are the use of space and how he conveys a scene or major plot in his poster arts. Depending on the poster, his colour pallet is super minimal, using maybe around 2-3 colours. Along with making movie posters, Saul Bass has also made title sequences and creating logos including; Kleenex, AT&T and Quaker Oats.
